The method and the device are applied in a wearable device and are used for helping a user to inform a contact person rapidly and accurately in an emergency condition. The method comprises following steps of monitoring whether a user is in the emergency condition currently; when the user is in the emergency condition currently, obtaining preset contact person information and obtaining current position information, wherein the preset contact person information is the contact person information capable of providing a help in the emergency condition; and sending help calling information comprising the current position information to a preset contact person through a communication device. According to the technique scheme of the invention, whether the user is in the emergency condition is monitored; when the user is in the emergency condition, the preset contact person is informed of the information comprising the user position; the method can be used for helping the user to inform the contact person rapidly and accurately; therefore, the use is assisted by the contact person timely.
