The sterilization composition comprises effective components including the pyraclostrobin and the efficient metalaxyl-M, which are compounded in a binary manner, wherein the mass ratio of the pyraclostrobin to penconazole is (1 to 40): (40 to 1); the mass percent of the effective components including the pyraclostrobin and the efficient metalaxyl-M in a preparation is 1 percent to 80 percent, and the balance is auxiliary components allowable and acceptable in pesticides. The sterilization composition provided by the invention has dosage forms including missible oil, a suspending agent, wettable powder, water dispersible granules, emulsion in water, micro-emulsion, granules and microcapsules. The sterilization composition can be used for effectively preventing and treating downy mildew, phytophthora capsici, pythium disease, wheat scab, fusarium wilt of cotton, panama disease of bananas, bakanae disease of rice, watermelon fusarium wilt and the like.
