Abstract

The invention provides an OpenStack based software defined network simulation system. The system comprises a virtual machine creating module, a simulation network setting module and a test module, wherein the virtual machine creating module creates multiple virtual machines according to requirements, the simulation network setting module arranges at least one software defined network controller and at least one software defined network switch in the created virtual machines according to requirements so as to establish a corresponding network topology network, and the test module tests whether the arranged software defined network controller and software defined network switch satisfy requirements according to the established network topology structure. The system uses the test module to test whether the arranged software defined network controller and software defined network switch satisfy requirements, so that the needed controller and switch can be developed according to requirements, the setting flexibility of the software defined network is improved, and the design cost is reduced. The invention also provides a software defined network simulation method.
