Abstract
The invention discloses an artificial feeding method for peacocks. The artificial feeding method for peacocks comprises the steps of building of a breeding farm, hatching of hatching eggs, brooding management, feeding management and disease prevention. The building of the breeding farm comprises the step of building a feeding cage and a playground, the feeding cage is provided with a waterproof floor with a water outlet, ventilation convection windows are arranged on the peripheral walls of the feeding cage, a trunk with the diameter of 6-8 cm is transversely arranged at the part, away from the ground by 1.3-1.6 m, in the feeding cage to serve as a perch, and a tap water device is arranged at a doorway of the feeding cage. The playground is arranged in a semi-sand and semi-soil mode and is surrounded by a wire mesh. The peacocks can be directly put into the feeding cage to be bred after hatching and brooding; after the peacocks become adult peacocks, feeding is carried out twice a day with feed, meanwhile, two times of green feed is provided, the weight can reach 3-4 kilograms after the peacocks are fed for eight months, and the peacocks can be put into the market as commercial peacocks. The artificial feeding method for peacocks is small in input and high in breeding efficiency and lays a solid foundation for the scientization and factorization of artificial feeding of peacocks.
