Abstract

The invention provides a wide-area time-lag PID damping controller design method of an electric system, and belongs to the field of electric system stabilization control technology. The complete design method is provided in order to solve a problem of low frequency oscillation occurring in the interconnection process of a regional power grid of a wide-area electric system. The design method comprises steps of determining the low frequency oscillation mode of the electric system; selecting a feedback control signal representing the low frequency oscillation characteristic and a proper damping control executer; establishing a transfer function mathematical model of the wide-area electric system; designing an electric system PID controller suitable for feedback control of time-lag PWM signals; and calculating a possible PID parameter distribution range which is capable of ensuring stability of the electric system and selecting a proper PID parameter therefrom. According to the invention, the problem of low frequency oscillation in area of the wide-area electric system is can be solved and the design method is applicable when there are time lags in a wide-area feedback PWM signal. The designed controller has a simple structure and easy to achieve in projects.
