Abstract

The invention discloses a traditional Chinese medicine composition for treating alzheimer disease as well as a preparation method and an application thereof. The traditional Chinese medicine composition is prepared from the following medicinal materials in parts by weight: 2-6 parts of American ginseng, 5-15 parts of angelica sinensis, 7-15 parts of rhizoma corydalis, 4-12 parts of waternut herb, 4-12 parts of cremastra appendiculata, 2-6 parts of schisandra chinensis, 4-12 parts of stephania tetrandra, and 2-10 parts of polygala tenuifolia. The research shows that the traditional Chinese medicine composition can improve the learning and memory abilities of an AD mouse model and the visceral index of the immune organs, improve the permeability of the blood brain barrier of the AD mouse model, reduce the hippocampi APP, Abeta1-42, IL-1beta and IL-6 levels of the AD mouse, enhance the oxidation resistance of the hippocampi of the AD mouse, improve the hippocampi morphological structure of the AD mouse, and reduce the hippocampi RAGE and NF-kappaBp65 expressions of the AD mouse, and has no influences on the body weight of the AD mouse model.
