Abstract

The invention discloses a video playing method and device, which are used for automatically calling corresponding multimedia information for playing. The method comprises the following steps: in a video playing process, detecting whether or not a current playing time point on a video time axis is overlapped with the starting time of the multimedia information; when detection indicates that the current playing time point on the video time axis is overlapped with the starting time of the multimedia information, calling the multimedia information corresponding to the starting time; and playing the multimedia information corresponding to the staring time. Through adoption of the method provided by the invention, the multimedia information corresponding to the starting time is called and played when detection indicates that the current playing time point on the video time axis is overlapped with the starting time of multimedia in order to automatically call corresponding multimedia information for playing, so that a user does not need to manually look for a multimedia information storage position, and time is saved.
