The method includes the following steps that: a user UI parameter and an information source state parameter are obtained through a card end and are transmitted to a screen end through a communication serial port; the screen end obtains the average luminance and histogram information of a current image, the backlight target value and contrast target value of the screen end are calculated according to the user UI parameter, the information source state parameter, the average luminance and the histogram information; and the backlight value and contrast value of the screen end are correspondingly set as the backlight target value and the contrast target value. With the natural light realizing method and system of the modular television adopted, the calculated target value of backlight is lower than an original value, and the target value of contrast is higher than an original value, and therefore, the energy consumption of a screen can be decreased; and when the screen becomes dark, the contrast can be properly increased simultaneously, and therefore, the energy efficiency of the modular television can be effectively improved, and great conveniences can be brought about.
