PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast program recommending device that can accomplish search at high speed without sacrificing the accuracy of search even if keywords for search are simple ones and can present recommended programs to users.SOLUTION: A broadcast program recommending device comprises a search keyword accepting unit 11a that accepts at least a search keyword or keywords designated by a user, a partial coincidence search unit 11b that searches an electronic program schedule for a program or programs information on which include a word partially coinciding with any accepted keyword designated by the user and outputs a set of results of search for partial coincidence, a linguistic analyzing unit 11c that linguistically analyzes information on each program included in the set of results of search for partial coincidence, and a perfect coincidence search unit 11d that searches analyzed information on programs in a set of analyzed search results for programs containing any word perfectly coinciding with any of the keywords designated by the user and outputs a set of results of search for perfect coincidence. A recommended program display unit 12 displays a program or programs contained in the set of results of search for perfect coincidence.
