Problems solved by technology

However, when the member port of the BFD session is Down, even if other member ports are still available, the BFD session still reports the aggregation link Down to the upper layer protocol module, causing false positives.

Embodiment Construction

[0023] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0024] In the embodiment of the present invention, a BFD session that does not send BFD packets is created on the aggregated link, and the BFD session is associated with the micro-BFD session of each member port of the aggregated interface. The BFD session can report the connectivity status of the aggregated link to the upper layer protocol module based on the connectivity status of the member ports reported by the micro-BFD session of each member port.

[0025] figure 1 It is a flowchart of a bidirectional forwarding detection method for aggregated links according to an embodiment of the present invention. The process of the method can be applied to a local switch or a peer switch located at two ends of an aggregation link and being neighbors to each other.

Abstract

An embodiment of the invention provides a bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD) method and device of an aggregation link. The method includes: building a BFD conversation which does not transmits a BFD message with the neighbor switcher of the aggregation link, and building the micro-BFD conversation group of the aggregation link with the neighbor switcher of the aggregation link, wherein the micro-BFD conversation group comprises micro-BFD conversations for detecting the communication states of the member ports of the aggregation link, and each member port corresponds to one micro-BFD conversation; enabling the micro-BFD conversations in the micro-BFD conversation group to respectively report the communication states of corresponding member ports to the BFD conversation; enabling the BFD conversation to report the communication state of the aggregation link to an upper layer protocol module on the basis of the communication states of the member ports.

Description

technical field [0001] The embodiments of the present invention belong to the technical field of network communication, in particular to a bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD) method and device for aggregated links. Background technique [0002] Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) is a general, standardized, medium-independent and protocol-independent fast fault detection mechanism, which is used to detect the connectivity status of links in IP networks and ensure rapid detection of communication between devices. faults, in order to take timely measures and ensure business continuity. BFD can quickly detect faults on the bidirectional forwarding path between two devices for various upper-layer protocols. [0003] Ethernet link aggregation is called link aggregation for short. By bundling multiple Ethernet physical links into one aggregated link, the link bandwidth can be increased. The bonding of physical links can be achieved by bonding Ethernet interfaces. Ethe...
