Abstract

The invention provides a novel application of protocatechualdehyde as a drug and particularly relates to an application of protocatechualdehyde to pulmonary fibrosis prevention or treatment realized by inhibiting epithelial intercellular substance conversion and fibroblast proliferation and further inhibiting the occurrence and development of pulmonary fibrosis. According to the application, the dosage range of protocatechualdehyde is 20-2000mg and preferably 20-1000mg.
