By postponing seeding time and spraying a maleic hydrazide solution, the plants are effectively inhibited from bolting and flowering, the viewing period is prolonged by 30 days or more, and therefore the garden effect of the collards is greatly improved. Based on the method, bolting and flowering of various collards are effectively inhibited and postponed, the viewing time is prolonged, and economic benefits are increased; besides, the method is simple, feasible and convenient to operate.
