Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system that allow facility managers and occupants to collaboratively define an energy strategy for building energy control. A Collaborative Building Control (CBC) system collects energy consumption requirements as input from occupants and facility managers, resolves conflicting requirements, and provides detailed commands to a Building Automation System (BAS) in order to optimize energy usage.
