Abstract

The method comprises the following steps of (1) determining a protection logic; (2) establishing a high-voltage direct current electromagnetic transient simulation model, and modeling the protection logic; (3) executing EMTDC (electromagnetic transients including DC) electromagnetic transient simulation, observing a measurement signal curve, and verifying whether a grounding electrode open circuit protection action logic meets a requirement or not; (4) recording the maximum energy of the E type lightning arrester under a grounding electrode open circuit failure.
