During output of medical images, a patient information carrier is read through the patient information acquisition equipment; the patient information is matched through network communication and the server; identification information and inspection information of the patient are found to call out corresponding medical images; the medical image is sent to the printer for printing to realize on-demand printing output. Adopting the medical image printing system provided by the invention can realize on-demand printing in a controllable manner and make the DICOM-based medical image output more simplified and more reasonable, so that manpower and time costs are saved.
