Abstract

The invention aims to provide a method and equipment for starting up a first base station. According to the technical scheme, the method comprises the following steps: obtaining the overall first potential flow information which is needed to be switched to the first base station from all compensation base stations of the first base station when the first base station is started up from a dormant state; and judging when the overall first potential flow information meets first predetermined conditions, and starting up the first base station from the dormant state. Compared wit the prior art, through estimating the user's overall first potential flow information which is switched to the first base station from all compensation nodes of the first base station when the first base station is started up, whether the first base station is started up or not is determined, so as to reduce the possible overload situation of the first base station after the first base station is started up.
