Abstract

The invention discloses a portable and stretchable compact disc-read only memory (CD-ROM). The portable and stretchable CD-ROM comprises an inner shell, a middle shell, an outer shell, a base, a fixing cap, a switch, a universal serial bus (USB) interface and an optical disk fixing device. When using the portable and stretchable CD-ROM, a user places an optical disk on the optical disk fixing device, stretches the whole CD-ROM to be in a maximum state through a shift sheet, and then the optical disk can be completely covered; and after the portable and stretchable CD-ROM is connected with a computer through a USB cable, the CD-ROM can be used like a common CD-ROM for read-write operation. When the user needs to take out the optical disk, the user just needs to press the switch, and then a system rapidly stops rotation of the optical disk; and the user contracts the CD-ROM to be in a minimum state through the shift sheet, and then the optical disk can be taken down easily.
