Abstract

Disclosed is a method for achieving exact time dependence in an organization hierarchy. Changes of hierarchy organization structures can be stored in different versions of data structures which describe the hierarchy organization structures. Each version of the data structures can comprise an effective period field which represents that the hierarchy organization structure described in the version accurately reflects a time period of the organization structure. Each version of the data structures can be appointed to be active or inactive. In some embodiments, except for versions which reflect the organization structures of the organization in specific time, each version can be appointed to be inactive, and the organization structures of the organization can change with time. History copy of the versions can be stored and can be recalled to identify the organization structures which come into effects in past specific time, and then the recalled versions can be used for limiting inquired results to selected nodes of the history organization structures.
