Embodiment Construction

[0030] In order to make the technical problems, technical solutions and advantages to be solved by the present invention clearer, the following will describe in detail with reference to the drawings and specific embodiments.

[0031] According to the formation principle and mechanism of LCD residual image, the invention utilizes the liquid crystal response process to perform gray scale conversion, so as to reduce residual image and accurately display the color of dynamic images.

[0032] An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for controlling gray scales during a display process, which is applied to a liquid crystal display, and the liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixels; figure 1 As shown, the methods include:

[0033] Step 101 (step 1), acquiring the brightness L0 of the pixel at the end of the current frame;

[0034] Step 102 (step 2), according to the brightness L0 at the end moment of the current frame, obtain the driving gray scale of the...

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a method for controlling gray scales, a gray scale control device and a liquid crystal display (LCD). The LCD comprises a plurality of pixels. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring luminance (L0) of the pixels at the end time of a current frame; according to the luminance (L0) at the end time of the current frame, acquiring drive gray scales of the pixels at a target frame, wherein the target frame is the next frame of the current frame; and outputting the drive gray scales out of the target frame, wherein the drive gray scales enable actual luminance of the pixels at the target frame to be equal to target luminance (L1) of the target frame and the target luminance (L1) can reach an expected value of human eyes, and the actual luminance is the luminance generated by integration of gray scale response time curves corresponding to the drive gray scales to times. Within the time of one frame, the gray scales are integrated to obtain the actual luminance of the target frame. Because the feeling of the human eyes for lights during a period is an average effect during the period, namely, the expected value of the human eyes, the actual luminance generated by adjusted drive gray scales can reach the expected value of the human eyes, thus being capable of eliminating smearing happening in the process of switching pictures.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to display technology, in particular to a gray scale control method, a gray scale control device and a liquid crystal display. Background technique [0002] During the display process of a liquid crystal display (LCD, Liquid Crystal Display), the gray scale represents the level of different brightness levels from the darkest to the brightest. The more levels in the middle, the more delicate the picture effect that can be presented. The slow response of liquid crystals will cause smearing of fast-moving objects. This is because the response of liquid crystals is not complete during the grayscale conversion process, resulting in the actual grayscale being different from the target grayscale. The response time period of liquid crystal displays is usually long, so in the process of displaying images—especially dynamic images, if the response time period for screen switching is too long, the gray scale flip will not be complete...
