A preparation method of the botanical fungicide comprises first using ethanol to flow back to extract sea-tangle powder, concentrating to remove the ethanol solvent and obtain the sea-tangle extract, and enabling the sea-tangle extract to mixed with N, N-dimethyl formamide, tween-80 and the water in proportion so that the botanical fungicide is obtained. The botanical fungicide has good effect on controlling the potato ring rot, does not pollute the soil, underground water sources and agricultural products, has the effect of green manure, can improve physicochemical properties of the soil, and is an ideal botanical pesticide.
