The invention discloses a universal remote controller system based on an intelligent touch platform. The system comprises an information acquiring unit, a learning unit, a database, a retrieval unit and a transmission unit, wherein the information acquiring unit is used for acquiring and storing key numbers input by a user related to newly established keys, also for acquiring key text description input by the user or appearances selected by the user and for acquiring the numbers of keys pressed by the user; the learning unit is used for learning infrared signals so as to correspond the key numbers to the learnt infrared signals; the database is used for storing the correspondence relationship between the key numbers and the infrared signals and text description or appearance data of the keys; the retrieval unit is used for retrieving infrared signal information corresponding to the keys from the database; and the transmission unit is used for transmitting infrared signals according to accessed infrared signal information. The invention also discloses an edition method and an operation method for the system. By using the invention, the number of remote controllers in a home or office can be greatly reduced, thereby reducing loads of users and providing more convenience for the users.
