Abstract
The invention discloses a DNA segment and its application. In the invention, the nucleotide sequence of the DNA segment is one of the sequences as described in 1), 2), and 3): 1) a nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID No. 1 in a sequence table; 2) a nucleotide sequence capable of being hybridized with the nucleotide sequence in 1) under extremely strict conditions and having promoter activity; 3) a nucleotide sequence sharing a homology above 70% with the nucleotide sequence in 1) and having promoter activity. Experiments in the invention show that: the DNA segment in the invention serves as a promoter and can specifically drive downstream GUS genes to begin to express from the late stage of single nucleic pollen until the time when the pollen completely matures.
