Benefits of technology

This technology allows mobile devices (such as smartphones) accessing their internet connection can have better Quality Of Service (Qos). It uses policies from both networks' owners or operator(their competitors), which helps them manage how much bandwidth they use while still providing good service level guarantees on any given link between two parties involved during communication sessions.

Problems solved by technology

This patented describes a technical solution called Interworking Connection Management System (ICSM)-Integrated Delivery Support Node (IDSNM)) used during mobility support procedures like LTE Direct Connectivity Group Termination Override (LDCC)). These systems allow communication interfaces within one country and multiple countries to communicate over their own infrastructure without being limited by geographic boundaries. They use various techniques including Time Division Multiplex Passage Request Brokdown Interface Definition Language Broadcast (TDMB_RIVML); Uniform Packeting Execution Partnership (UPCOM)/Service Guide Platform (SBPT)), RealNetwork Discovery Complete Message Acquisition Center (CRMA) negotiate provisioned session connections among providers and clients, Quality Of Service Agents (QOS AGENESIDE COVER SERVER) deliver requested content packets towards target servers, while ensuring smooth delivery of data streamings across borders and optimizing performance capabilities.

Embodiment Construction

[0084] The technical solutions of the present invention will be further elaborated below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.

[0085] In order to realize the dynamic QoS control of the traffic flow of the data flow accessed by the local IP of the mobile user, the present invention provides a policy control method for the local access of the mobile user. The policy decision-making entity of the local access network (IP-CAN, IP-Connectivity Access Network) session formulates policies for local access, and sends the formulated policies to the policy enforcement entity of the mobile network and the policy decision-making entity of the fixed network respectively; The policy decision-making entity of the fixed network forwards the received policy to the policy enforcement entity of the fixed network; the policy enforcement entity of the mobile network and the policy enforcement entity of the fixed network install and execute the received policy.

Abstract

The invention discloses a policy control method for local access of a mobile subscriber. The policy control method comprises the following steps: a policy decision entity of a mobile network establishes a policy for the IP (internet protocol) connectivity access network (IP-CAN) session, and the established policy is respectively sent to a policy enforcement entity of the mobile network and a policy decision entity of a fixed network; the policy decision entity of the fixed network sends the received policy to a policy enforcement entity of the fixed network; the policy enforcement entity of the mobile network and the policy enforcement entity of the fixed network install and enforce the received policy. The invention also discloses a policy control system for local access of a mobile subscriber. The method and the system of the invention ensure that the dynamic control of the quality of service (QoS) to the data stream flow for the local IP access of the mobile subscriber is achieved.
