Problems solved by technology

In order to accomplish the above tasks, their possible approach is to manually process all the input dimensions of the data cube, perform query analysis on each dimension and manually select the results and return them. This process is quite labor-intensive and time-consuming

Embodiment Construction

[0010] This method automatically traverses each dimension of the data cube by means of loops, recursively drills up and down on each dimension and analyzes the connection between dimensions, so as to obtain the members of the dimensions with the highest contribution to the total amount of the current report or a certain measurement and their combination. The whole process does not require human analysis, it only needs to take the data cube as input, and its output is the combination of each metric value in the cube and the N dimension members with the highest contribution to them.

[0011] Such as figure 2 with image 3 As shown, c implements the MDX pseudocode of one level of processing one dimension as follows:

Abstract

The invention provides an online analytical processing (OLAP)-based intelligent analysis method and application thereof to the development of a business intelligence (BI) system. In the method, each dimension of a data cube is automatically traversed by cyclic means, and recursive vertical drilling and inter-dimension connection analysis are performed on each dimension, thereby obtaining a plurality of dimension members with the highest contribution degree for a current report total sum or a certain measure and combinations thereof. In the whole flow, manual analysis is not required, only the data cube is required to serve as input, and output comprises each measure in the cube and the combinations of N dimension members with the highest contribution degree for the measures.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the development of business intelligence software in the field of software engineering, in particular to an OLAP-based intelligent analysis method and the application of the method in the development of business intelligence systems. technical background [0002] With the development of information technology, massive amounts of data are generated every day, and the high correlation between various data makes data analysts tend to analyze them in the multidimensional database OLAP. Since the original data has been compressed and aggregated, the multidimensional database has better data storage, processing and analysis capabilities than relational databases in terms of time and space. Nevertheless, analysts' operations on multidimensional databases are limited to simple query and analysis at this stage, and the analysis process often depends on the analyst's subjective judgment, requiring the analyst to decide which attributes a...
