Abstract

The invention discloses a distributed battery management system and an identifier assignment method thereof. The distributed battery management system comprises a master controller and a plurality of slave controllers, wherein the master controller is electrically connected with one of the plurality of slave controllers, and the slave controller is electrically connected in series with other slave controllers in turn. The method comprises the following steps of: 1) switching the slave controller which is electrically connected with the master controller from a wait state to an enabled state by using the master controller; 2) sending a request for identifier assignment to the master controller by using the slave controller which is in the enabled state; 3) receiving the request by using the master controller; 4) responding to the request to generate an identifier by using the master controller; 5) assigning the identifier to the slave controller which sends the request by using the master controller; 6) allowing the slave controller which is assigned with the identifier to enter an assignment completion state and switch the next slave controller which is electrically connected in series with the slave controller from the wait state to the enabled state; and 7) repeating the step 2) to the step 6). By the distributed battery management system and the identifier assignment methodthereof, identifiers can be assigned to the plurality of slave controllers simply, effectively and reliably.
