Problems solved by technology

In the incremental update of the map, incremental data containing wrong information is unavoidable, which may lead to discontinuity of the updated map. Therefore, navigation locations that support incremental update Figure 1 Generally, navigation applications are also required to have data fault-tolerant performance
For navigation applications, it is not only difficult to achieve data fault tolerance, but also affects the speed of normal data calls

Embodiment Construction

[0015] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0016] The present invention adopts the map data structure that supports incremental import, because the wrong incremental update is more harmful than the outdated map, if the incremental recovery operation is supported on the navigation map side, the user can remove the wrong incremental data to the map In this way, the navigation application does not need to consider the data fault tolerance function, and it can also avoid the trouble caused by the wrong incremental data to the entire navigation system. The present invention comprises the steps:

[0017] (1) Divide the intersections and road sections in the road network elements into blocks according to their administrative regions, so that each intersection and road section belongs to a certain block, and organize the intersection and road section data in the block, so as to realize fast wayfinding...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for updating map data of a vehicle-mounted navigation system. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) partitioning intersections and road sections in road network elements according to an administrative area, making each intersection and road section belong to a determined block, organizing intersection and road section data in the block, establishing anindex for each block of data, and reserving an increment import interface in each block of index; (2) establishing a secondary crossing index according to geographic range attributes of the road network elements so as to form an interface for providing map elements acquired according to the geographic range; (3) importing an increment local road network by using the reserved increment introducinginterface, and simultaneously generating backup information of a local road network; and (4) deleting the local road network by using the backup information and recovering the map to an initial statewhen data in a certain local road network comprises a severe error. The method can support incremental update of a navigation map and improve the up-to-date property of the map, and can be widely applied to supporting local update and recovery of a map road network of the vehicle-mounted navigation system.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for updating data of a vehicle navigation system, in particular to a method for updating map data of a vehicle navigation system. Background technique [0002] At present, the vehicle navigation system has higher and higher requirements on the current situation of the electronic map. Using the method of overall replacement to update the map data can no longer meet the requirements. Therefore, the incremental update of the map has become an important development direction for the vehicle navigation system. Since 2001, some navigation companies in Japan have successively launched navigation systems that can support updating electronic maps using wireless networks; in 2005, Increment2P, a Japanese company, established the i2format forum to release a navigation data format that supports map updates; in 2009, Hitachi proposed a navigation system Map update solution (Hitachi Map Update Service). The European Intelligent Tra...
