Abstract

The invention discloses an image playing system for playing 3D movies by a single projector, and relates to a movie playing system, in particular to a 3D movie playing system. The system comprises a 3D polarizer, a polarization lens, projection equipment, a data processor and polarized glasses; the data processor alternately transmits left and right screen images to the projection equipment in fixed frequency, and the projection equipment acquires two images which are continuously changed and crossed and are not overlapped; a servo unit in the 3D polarizer drives the polarization lens to rotate so that left and right switching frequencies of the polarization lens are synchronous with the switching frequency of the two images, the polarization lens rotating synchronously totally separates the left and right screen images by adopting the optical polarization technology, and the separated left and right images are continuously and alternately projected on the metal screen; and the polarized glasses are worn by spectators to watch the 3D effect image.
