Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses an outdoor unit and a method thereof for improving output performance. The method comprises the following steps that: the outdoor unit (ODU) receives a first analog signal sent by an indoor unit (IDU) and converts the received first analog signal into a first digital baseband signal through down-conversion; and the ODU receives a second analog signal output by a power amplifier (PA) and converts the received second analog signal into a second digital baseband signal through the down-conversion; the ODU obtains a digital predistortion coefficient according to the first and second digital baseband signals; and the ODU performs digital predistortion processing on the first digital baseband signal by adopting the digital predistortion coefficient to acquire a signal after the digital predistortion processing and sends the signal to the power amplifier. The outdoor unit and the method thereof for improving the output performance can realize the linearization of a sender link without requiring the PA to work in a linear mode.
