Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a device for determining an input-output scheduling algorithm. The method comprises the following steps: determining a characteristic model of an input-output (IO) request, selecting the IO scheduling algorithm according to the characteristic model; configuring relevant parameters for the selected IO scheduling algorithm according to the obtained hard disk parameters in advance; synchronizing the parameter information and characteristic model information to a hard disk firmware (FW), so that the hard disk FW selects a corresponding IO scheduling algorithm according to the characteristic model information; and configuring the corresponding IO scheduling algorithm according to the parameter information. According to the embodiment of the invention, the IO scheduling algorithm can be correlated with the concrete characteristic of the IO request, when the IO request has diversity under various application scenes of the hard disk in the actual application, the corresponding scheduling algorithm is selected according to different IO requests, thus executing the IO scheduling algorithm under various application scenes to achieve the purpose of promoting IO performance.
