Background technique [0002] Ice makers for domestic refrigeration units are known in various configurations. A simple ice maker has a water storage container divided into chambers that pre-set the shape of the ice cubes. In the simplest case, ice is produced by lowering the temperature in the cooling compartment in which the water storage container is located to below 0°C.
