Problems solved by technology

(1) Since the above-mentioned signal analyzer requires multiple frequency conversion paths to analyze a wideband signal, the signal analyzer becomes more expensive than the case where a single frequency conversion path is used to analyze a signal
(2) Even if multiple frequency conversion paths are used to analyze broadband signals, there is a limit to the frequency bandwidth that can be obtained at a certain time due to the limitation of hardware processing speed

Embodiment Construction

[0015] Embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to the drawings.

[0016] First, the configuration of the signal analyzer 10 for measuring the signal under test (SUT) D1 will be described. figure 1 is a block diagram of the signal analyzer 10 . A signal analyzer 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention receives a periodic signal under test and uses the periodicity to combine a set of frequency domain data derived from a set of separately acquired time domain data to produce broadband combined frequency domain data.

[0017] Such as figure 1 As shown, signal analyzer 10 has amplifier 12 , data acquisition block (data acquisition component) 30 , memory 22 , DSP (digital signal processor or computing component) 24 , display 26 and controller (control component) 28 . The data acquisition block 30 has an A / D converter 20 and an analog down-converter with a local oscillator 14 , a mixer 16 and a BPF (Band Pass Filter) 18 .

Abstract

Sets of time domain data of respective frequency bands from Fd-I to Fd-n of a periodic input signal Fs are acquired. Sets of the time domain data of the common frequency band are extracted from the sets of the time domain data of the frequency bands Fd-1and Fd-2 in the acquired frequency bands. Correlativity between the sets of the time domain data of the common frequency band is determined whileshifting time relationship between the sets each other to identify the sets of time domain data having correspondence relationship. The sets of the time domain data having the correspondence relationship in the time domain data of the adjacent frequency band Fd-1 and Fd-2 are converted to the sets of the frequency domain data respectively, and the sets of the frequency domain data are combined toproduce one set of combined frequency domain data.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present invention relate to signal analyzers and frequency domain data generation methods, and more particularly, to methods for combining time domain data by taking frequency bands of a periodic input signal and using a common frequency band correlation between adjacent frequency bands A signal analyzer and frequency-domain data generation method for measuring wideband input signals. Background technique [0002] Recently, the mainstream of the Internet, mobile phones, etc. is broadband communication with high capacity and fast data communication. The transition to broadband communications requires that signal analyzers used to measure the signal quality of the data also have broadband. A "signal analyzer" as used herein is a device that generates time domain and frequency domain data of a signal under test (SUT) and can use the data to analyze the signal under test from various angles.
