Abstract

The invention discloses a color correcting method of a display device, which is applicable to the output color adjustment of the display device. The color correcting method consists of the steps as follows: firstly, multiple images are displayed on a panel of the display device, and chromatic values and brightness values of the images are measured, thus obtaining the color displaying characteristics of the display device; secondly, according to the color displaying characteristics, a corresponding color matrix is generated, wherein the color matrix is positioned in a linear color space of CIE XYZ; thirdly, the color matrix and a gain matrix are computed so as to output an output matrix; fourthly, the gain matrix is adjusted so as to lead the output matrix to be essentially the same with a target matrix; finally, by referring to element values that are obtained by the adjusted gain matrix, the display device is set, thus correcting the output color of the display device.
