Abstract

The invention provides a monitoring system for monitoring a fluid transmission pipeline by using an existing wireless network, which essentially consists of five parts of a flux collecting unit (FCU), a data transmitting and receiving unit (DTRU), an operation maintenance center (OMC), a power supply module (PSM), and a GSM or CDMA wireless network. The FCU is installed on the surfaces of variousliquid transmission pipelines and essentially aims at collecting the flux of the liquid flowing inside a petroleum transmission pipeline accurately and sending the flux value collected to the GSM or CDMA wireless network through wireless radio-frequency signals after the flux value is modulated and packed. The key function of the PSM is to supply power for the FCU. The DTRU transmits the flux data collected to the existing GSM or CDMA wireless network, and simultaneously receives the monitoring data and orders transmitted from the GSM or CDMA wireless network to form a transmission route between the FCU and the OMC through the GSM or CDMA wireless network. The key function of the OMC is to monitor and manage the transmission situation inside the whole liquid transmission pipeline. The OMCcarries out centralized and uniform treatment mainly according to the data information collected by the FCU to monitor the working situations and flux of all the pipelines, carries out statistic and calculation for the data, gives corresponding visual warning and video alarm when leakage occurs to the pipelines and notifies corresponding responsible persons the corresponding positions and situations of the pipeline for carrying out treatment through the GSM or CDMA wireless network by short messages.
