This device includes modules of recording (RC), memory (MM), controlling (CT), inputting (IP), pass-word storage (PS) and judging (JG). When user selects to record a program, CT controls IP to set a pass-word (PW) and save it and informs RC to record TV program. When user needs to process a TV program, CT controls IP to input PW and controls JG to judge whether the input PW is the same with the PW in MM. If it is, CT informs RC to complete the operation. If it is not, the operation cannot be executed. IP is for inputting PW. MM is for saving the preset PW. JG is for confirming the sameness between these two PWs. Moreover, this invention presents a method of safely recording TV program on DVR TV to protect the recorded DVR TV program effectively.
