Benefits of technology

[0008]It is another feature of an embodiment to provide a touch screen that allows objects to be placed thereon without decreasing touch areas adjacent the objects.
[0010]It is still another feature of an embodiment to provide a touch screen that allows multi-user operation.
[0015]The first touch may be a gesture and the second touch may be a tap performed while the gesture is being performed, wherein the tap does not affect the performance of the first touch. The touch detection surface may use a sub-surface detection mechanism. The touch detection surface may provide enhanced single user operation.
[0019]Communication between the touch screen, computer and the secondary screen is may be configured so that tapping on the touch screen in particular locations when the touch screen is in a particular state allows the user to select or change a source supplying an image to the secondary screen.

Problems solved by technology

However, such a system involves numerous compromises in performance for both the touch screen interface and the display itself.
