Embodiment Construction

[0058] Figures 1-3 illustrate an embodiment of an infusion set. The infusion set includes an infusion part OB and a connecting piece OA. The infusion part OB comprises a base 2 having a main plane substantially parallel to the patient's skin when the infusion set is attached to the patient's body. Said base 2 comprises a first set of guides 13 which, in this embodiment, have the form of two stabilizing fins. The base also comprises two retaining means 4 extending from the upper surface of the base, in this embodiment in the form of two steps. On the inner surface of the infusion part, an adhesive support 1, which is an adhesive plaster in this embodiment, is arranged. A cannula 5 extends from the base 2 and penetrates the adhesive support 1 in fluid communication with the central cavity 3 . The cannula 5 is preferably a soft cannula, but can also be made of metal. A cavity 3, optionally covered by a film, is adapted to receive a cannula 6 extending from said connection. I...

Abstract

The invention relates to an injector device for an infusion set for intermittent or continuous administration of a therapeutical substance, such as insulin. The injector device for the subcutaneous introduction of the cannula of an infusion part into the skin of a patient comprises a housing, a back, longitudinally extending guiding means, a member which is longitudinally slidable within the housing, an insertion needle for insertion of the cannula, a spring located between the back of the housing and the longitudinally slidable member, locking means for maintaining the spring in a compressed state and release means for disengaging the locking means. The device further comprises a pivoting member which can be swung from a position in which the pivoting member allows for insertion of the needle into a position in which it embraces the needle.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an injector device, an infusion set for intermittent or continuous administration of a therapeutic substance such as insulin. The infusion set comprises an infusion set with a cannula for piercing the patient's skin, and a connection for connecting the infusion set to a medical device, preferably a medical delivery device such as an insulin pump. [0002] In its assembled form, the infusion set has a substantially flat rear side and a relatively large width relative to its thickness, thereby allowing it to lie flat on the patient's skin and thereby mitigating the discomfort of carrying the infusion set. comfortability. [0003] The ejector device according to the invention is particularly suitable for situations where the patient wishes or has to insert the infusion part himself without the assistance of a professional. Background technique [0004] US Patent No. 5,522,803 discloses an infusion set with infusion compo...
