Abstract

A gastric band includes a band and a bladder connected to the band. The bladder and band are shaped and sized to restrain the stomach at a predetermined location. The balloon includes a longitudinally extending body having a first end and a second end, the first and second ends respectively including mating contours that are alignable for placement on the gastric band. The outer and inner surfaces form a generally continuous surface along the outer and inner surfaces as they transition between the first and second ends of the bladder.
