The dormancy management method comprises the following steps: calling a first power management service of a Linux root file system layer, and judging whether a dormancy condition is met or not according to dormancy information sent by a user of the Linux root file system layer and equipment occupation data read from a Linux kernel; under the condition that the dormancy condition is met, calling a dormancy library of an Android adaptation layer, and obtaining a dormancy lock, held in the dormancy library, of the application of the user; and initiating a dormancy operation to a kernel layer according to the dormancy lock. The embodiment of the invention can improve the power management efficiency.
