Abstract

The invention provides a lightning arrester for inhibiting the flashover of a resistor disc and an assembly method of the lightning arrester. The lightning arrester for inhibiting flashover of the resistor disc comprises a lightning arrester core body, a fixing device, an insulating layer and two metal end covers; the lightning arrester core body comprises a plurality of coaxially arranged resistor discs and metal cushion blocks arranged at the two ends of each resistor disc; the fixing device fixes the lightning arrester core body by clamping the two ends of the lightning arrester core body; the insulating layer coats the outer sides of the lightning arrester core body and the fixing device, and a plurality of rubber rings which are distributed along the axial direction of the insulating layer are arranged on the peripheral wall of the insulating layer; the two metal end covers are respectively arranged at two ends of the lightning arrester core body, at least one metal end cover is provided with a connecting part, and the connecting parts are used for fixing the lightning arrester and connecting a plurality of lightning arresters in series; with the metal cushion blocks adopted, the distance between every two adjacent resistor discs can be adjusted, and the height of the whole lightning arrester core body can be adjusted. The insulating layer can restrain flashover arcs of defective arcs, effectively isolate and protect adjacent normal resistor discs, and avoid faults of the whole lightning arrester caused by defects of a single resistor disc.
