Embodiment 1

[0665] Embodiment 1. A method of treating a subject comprising:

[0666] providing a first region coupled to the subject's biological material;

[0667] inducing a change in the cellular environment of the cells in the first region; and

[0668] A biological change in a second region within the subject is induced due to a change in the biological or chemical activity of the cells in the first region.

Embodiment 2

[0669] Embodiment 2. The method of embodiment 1, further comprising defining for the first region a region within the subject proximate to the second region.

Embodiment 3

[0670] Embodiment 3. The method of embodiment 2, wherein the region inside the subject is formed by the subject's own tissue.
