Abstract

The invention relates to the field of proteins, in particular to bioactive peptides derived from lymphocytes and having ACE inhibitory activity and application of the bioactive peptides. The bioactive peptides comprise two polypeptides, namely IEKLQGGLQER and TEEDFQKFQREYFGS, wherein the amino acid sequences of the bioactive peptides are Ile-Glu-Lys-Leu-Gln-Gly-Gly-Leu-Gln-Glu-Arg and Thr-Glu-Glu-Asp-Phe-Gln-Lys-Phe-Gln-Arg-Glu-Tyr-Phe-Gly-Ser respectively. Through retrieval in the bioinformatic database BIOPEP, it is predicted that both the polypeptide IEKLQGGLQER and the polypeptide TEEDFQKFQREYFGS have an ACE inhibition (blood pressure reduction) function. The IEKLQGGLQER and TEEDFQKFQREYFGS are subjected to searching and efficacy testing in the BIOPEP database, and results show that the two polypeptides have ACE inhibition (antihypertensive) activity and can promote bradykinin-mediated vasodilation, so the occurrence of hypertension is reduced, and the polypeptides have very important significance in developing food, health care products and medicines with antihypertensive effects.
