Embodiment Construction

[0058]When the following terms such as "upper" and "lower", "right" and "left", "horizontal" and "vertical" or similar relative expressions are used, these only refer to the drawings and do not necessarily refer to actual use Happening. The drawings shown are schematic representations, and for this reason, the configuration of the different structures and their relative dimensions are for illustration purposes only. When the term member or element is used for a given part, it usually indicates that the part is a single part in the described embodiment, however, the same member or element may instead include multiple sub-parts, like two or more of the parts. More can be provided as a single part, for example manufactured as a single injection molded part. The term "component" does not mean that the components must be able to be assembled to provide a single or functional component during a given assembly process, but is only used to describe the combined components as being more clos...

Abstract

A combination assembly comprising a process assembly and a thereto attachable sensor assembly is provided. The process assembly comprises an indicator element and a type identifier. The indicator element is arranged to rotate relative to a reference component and corresponding to a reference axis. The sensor assembly comprises a first sensor adapted to detect a rotational position and / or rotational movement of the indicator element, a second sensor adapted to detect a type identifier, an energy source, and a switch actuatable between an off state and an on state in which an operational cycle is initiated. The first sensor is operated to detect an amount of rotational movement performed by the indicator element, and the second sensor is operated to detect a type identifier. During an operational cycle the first and the second sensor are operated sequentially to prevent that peak draws of resources from the sensors take place concurrently.

Description

[0001]The present invention generally relates to a composite assembly including a process assembly and a sensor assembly attachable to the process assembly. In specific aspects, the present invention relates to devices and systems related to the generation, collection and storage of data. In specific embodiments, the present invention relates to devices and systems for capturing drug delivery dose data in a reliable, effective, and user-friendly manner. Background technique[0002]In the disclosure of the present invention, reference is mainly made to a drug delivery device used in the treatment of diabetes by subcutaneous delivery of insulin, however, this is only an exemplary use of the present invention.[0003]Drug delivery devices for subcutaneous injection have greatly improved the lives of patients who must self-administer drugs and biological agents. This drug delivery device can take many forms, including simple disposable devices, which are simply ampoules with injection device...
