The invention discloses a composition for brightening and resistance to skin light aging, and application thereof. At first, the invention discloses the composition for brightening and resistance to skin light aging. The composition is prepared from the following components in mass: 0.001%-10% of a ginseng extract, 0.01%-10% of a lucid ganoderma extract, 0.001%-10% of a herba portulacae extract, 0.001%-10% of a mulberry extract, 0.001%-0.5% of carnosine or a nano-scale intermediate thereof, as well as 0.001%-5% of arginine PCA or a nano-scale intermediate thereof. A cosmetic product prepared from the composition is resistant to harm from a natural environment, especially sunlight, can prevent formation of free radicals, lipid peroxidation and formation of late AGEs, can realize effects ofbrightening and firming of skin subject of light aging as proved in clinical testing, and can to some extent reduce melanogenesis, relieve erythema, make the skin color uniform and make the skin lookwhite and young.
