Embodiment Construction

[0056] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be further described in detail below in combination with specific embodiments and with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that these descriptions are exemplary only, and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Also, in the following description, descriptions of well-known structures and techniques are omitted to avoid unnecessarily obscuring the concept of the present invention.

[0057] Such as Figure 1-4 As shown, a kind of method that the present invention proposes to the adaptive adjustment of human eye iris image gamma curve comprises the following steps:

[0058] S1: Count the number of pixels of all pixel values in the original image, form a histogram of pixel values, and smooth the histogram curve;

[0059] S2: Use the curve characteristics of the obtained smooth histogram to extract t...

Abstract

A method for adaptively adjusting a gamma curve of a human eye iris image comprises the steps of: carrying out the statistics of the number of pixel points of all pixel values in an original image, forming a histogram of the pixel values, and smoothing a histogram curve; extracting typical characteristic values of an eyeball region by utilizing curve characteristics of the obtained smooth histogram; extracting medians of pixel values occupied by pupils and irises, and then estimating a pixel value range of a sclera region; stretching the characteristic values of the pupils, the irises, the sclera and the eyelid region to specified values according to the requirements of image standards, and fitting a required gamma curve. Meanwhile, the requirement of the iris area for the image contrast is met. Target values corresponding to all 0-255 pixel values are determined through the generated curve. According to the invention, online gamma curve automatic adjustment can be carried out on the collected iris image, and the deviation of different human eye iris images caused by the fixed gamma curve is avoided.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of digital image processing and intelligent video monitoring, in particular to a method for adaptively adjusting the gamma curve of the iris image of the human eye. Background technique [0002] The iris is the ring-shaped textured area outside the pupil in the human eyeball. It is widely used in security systems as one of the biometric features for identification. [0003] In practical applications, before iris recognition, it is necessary to use a camera to collect images of the iris under near-infrared light. For iris images, my country has relatively strict industry standards, which need to comply with the "Security Iris Recognition Application Image Technical Requirements". [0004] Cameras with different specifications have different parameters for capturing images, and the images need to be adjusted, including exposure time, white balance, focus, and gamma curve. Among them, the γ curve can adjust ...
