[0015] The present disclosure provides systems and methods for transferring one or more amusement ride vehicles between adjacent tracks (eg, track loops). For example, in some types of amusement rides, passengers may travel along one or more attraction track loops in the ride vehicle during operation of the ride. The attraction orbital rings may be arranged substantially concentrically, and in some embodiments may include an arrangement wherein at least a portion of the attraction orbital rings are parallel. In some embodiments, for various reasons, such as maintenance, recreation facility reconfiguration, etc., it may be desirable to divert vehicles to an adjacent (eg, nearby or some distance away) auxiliary ring. However, transferring ride vehicles between the attraction track ring and the auxiliary ring can be challenging. In particular, simple translation of the ride vehicle between the tracks may not orient the ride vehicle correctly.
