The power supply system comprises a power battery arranged on the railway vehicle, a first controllable switch connected between a current collector of the railway vehicle and a power supply end of the railway vehicle in series, a solar power supply device arranged on the railway vehicle, a second controllable switch connected between the solar power supply device and the power supply end of the railway vehicle in series, a station charging device arranged in a charging station, and a control device used for controlling on andoff of the first controllable switch and the second controllable switch, wherein one end of the station charging device is connected with a municipal electric network, and the other end of the stationcharging device is used for connecting the current collector when the railway vehicle stops beside the charging station. The power supply system can power the power battery through both the station charging device and the solar power supply device, thereby relieving power consumption pressure of railway vehicles and saving power.
