Problems solved by technology

However, this possibility has not been used in practice until now, since the operation of extracorporeal blood therapy systems with dialyzers through which blood flows in different directions has proven to be problematic in terms of safety technology.

Embodiment Construction

[0041] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the single figure, which shows a device for extracorporeal blood therapy in a strongly simplified schematic diagram.

[0042] In a strongly simplified schematic diagram, the drawing shows the components essential to the invention of a blood treatment device, which in the exemplary embodiment is a hemodialysis device. The blood treatment device has a blood treatment unit 1, which can be a dialyzer, which is divided by a semipermeable membrane 2 into a first compartment 3 (blood compartment) and a second compartment 4 (dialysate compartment). ). The extracorporeal blood circuit 1 comprises: a first blood pipeline 5 connected to a first interface of the first compartment 3; a second blood pipeline connected to the second interface of the first compartment 3 and the first compartment 3 7. The first and second blood lines 5 , 7 are hose lines (disposables) intended for a single-use blood hose system. At the...

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for an extracorporeal blood treatment, comprising a blood treatment unit (1) which has at least one compartment (4). The invention additionally relates to a method for determining a hemodynamic parameter during an extracorporeal blood treatment using an extracorporeal blood treatment device. In order to determine the hemodynamic parameter, the conveying directionof the blood pump (10) is reversed from a "normal" blood flow to a "reversed" blood flow. In practice, it has been shown that with a reversal of the flow direction of the blood pump for a measurementto detect a hemodynamic parameter, there is a risk that blood clots ends up in the patient even though the dialyzer retains blood clots. The blood treatment device has an input unit (23) for inputtinga time interval which the user can specify while taking into consideration the patient-specific and system-specific factors. The control and analysis unit (12) of the blood treatment device is configured such that the operation of the blood pump (10) in the operating mode with a reversed blood flow is released only within the time interval entered using the input unit, wherein the start of the time interval is determined by the time at which the blood treatment begins.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device for extracorporeal blood treatment with a blood treatment unit having at least one compartment. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for determining hemodynamic parameters during extracorporeal blood therapy by means of an extracorporeal blood therapy device. Background technique [0002] In chronic blood purification therapies such as hemodialysis, hemofiltration and hemodiafiltration, blood is conducted via an extracorporeal blood circuit. In hemodialysis, the blood to be treated flows through the blood chamber of the dialyzer, which is divided into a blood chamber and a dialysis fluid chamber by a semipermeable membrane, whereas in a dialysis fluid system, the dialysis fluid flows through the dialysis fluid chamber of the dialyzer. The extracorporeal blood circuit has an arterial hose line leading to the blood chamber and a venous hose line leading from the blood chamber. Known blood therapy devices have...
