Abstract

Fuel dispensers, systems, and methods are provided for allowing users to dynamically generate custom fuel blends (also referred to as fuel blends). In an exemplary embodiment, a fuel dispenser is provided having an interactive display, such as a touch screen display, and a data processor capable of performing operations that enable one or more of the following: replacement of PTS buttons, integration of Additive pumps to combine fuel blends and additives, mix fuel and additives, calculate fuel blend prices, and allow users to customize fuel blends. Applying interactive displays and control modules and other components can help to allow users to create customized fuel blends while minimizing changes to standard communication protocols associated with components such as, for example, point of sale (POS), forecourt controllers and a fuel controller capable of controlling the dispensing of fuel.
