Problems solved by technology

However, the cone lacks the flexibility and flex movement to adequately absorb the forces associated with the sweeping action
This can cause the cone to bend, and in some cases, can even cause the cone to break if the broom is pressed too hard while sweeping

Embodiment Construction

[0022] Traditional stick brooms are commonly used in most Asian countries. A traditional broom consists of many branches bundled together. The soft bristles at the ends of the branches form the broom head for sweeping desired surfaces. But applying high sweeping forces to the broom often causes the branches to loosen or even break off, making the broom unusable.

[0023] A broom designed in India (Patent Application No. 2438 / CHENP / 2015 ) has strips of bristles wrapped around a cone to form the broom head. The cone provides rigidity to the broom head. Usually a pipe is assembled on the cone and a bristle strip is wound on the pipe. The tubing provides the surface area to which the bristle strips are attached. In one specific example, one end of the strip is attached to the cone, and the strip is then wrapped around the cone and pipe. After winding, the strips are attached at various points on the cone and pipe by means of staples to form the broom head.

Abstract

The invention provides a connector having one end connected to a broom handle and the other end connected to a broom head; a stopper portion of the connector forms a press-type recess; the stopper portion is provided with at least one assembly mode for connecting a complementary assembly mode in the handle. A flange is arranged beside the assembly mode to limit the axial movement of the connector.A shoulder extends from the flange and is configured to support broom bars. A rib portion extends from the shoulder to assist the secure assembly of a pipe. The broom bars are wound around the pipe.A rigid shaft portion extends from the rib portion to provide rigidity for the operable intermediate section of the connector. A resilient shaft portion extends from the rigid shaft portion to providerigidity for the connector.

Description

field of invention [0001] The invention relates to the field of cleaning equipment. In particular, the invention relates to the field of brooms. Background technique [0002] Traditional stick brooms consist of a bunch of sticks bundled together, and the soft bristles at the ends of the sticks make up the broom head. The bundled branches are usually covered with a cylindrical plastic handle. The broom head makes contact with the ground or any other surface that needs to be dusted or swept. It is often necessary to press the broom head firmly against the ground or any other surface to be swept to ensure thorough removal of dust particles or other unwanted debris. Bundled branches will most of the time scatter or loosen during sweeping. In some cases the branches snap off, rendering the broom useless. [0003] In order to overcome the above defects, a newly designed broom (Indian Patent Application No. 2438 / CHENP / 2015) winds the bristle strips around the cone to form a br...
