Embodiments of the present application provide a capacity expansion method, device, apparatus, and storage medium of a distributed database. The method includes: obtaining a capacity expansion configuration instruction including capacity expansion indication information, wherein, the capacity expansion indication information is used to indicate information of at least one capacity expansion storage node; further, according to the expansion indication information and the current routing information of the distributed database, migration data corresponding to each original storage node in the distributed database is determined, and migration data in each original storage node is migrated to the at least one expansion storage node respectively. As can be seen, in the embodiment of the presentapplication, the original storage node can be multiplexed, and only part of the data in each of the original storage nodes needs to be migrated to the at least one expansion storage node, so that theresource utilization rate can be improved and the expansion efficiency can also be improved.
